Turning Steph Curry’s Game-Worn All-Star Gear Into One-of-One Trading Cards
There are certain pieces of memorabilia that make you stop for a second when they arrive at Reclaim Customs.
A game-worn shooting shirt from Steph Curry at the 2024 NBA All-Star Game definitely qualifies.
Our friends at Pristine Auction sent us the shirt with a pretty incredible assignment: take an authentic piece of Curry’s All-Star history and transform it into a small collection of completely unique, one-of-one trading cards.
That meant doing something that still feels a little crazy every time we do it.
We had to cut it up.
From Game-Worn Gear to Something Completely New
At Reclaim Customs, we’ve always believed that the artifact should be more than something tucked away inside a card.
It should help tell the story.
With this project, the challenge was figuring out how to take recognizable pieces of Curry’s shooting shirt and build individual cards around them, allowing each one-of-one to have its own identity while still clearly connecting back to the original artifact.
And when the artifact belonged to one of the most transformative basketball players of all time, we wanted the finished pieces to feel worthy of what we were working with.
In the new Reclaim Customs video, we take you inside that process.
How Much Has Steph Curry Changed Basketball?
Working on the cards also led us into a conversation that goes well beyond collectibles.
Just how influential has Steph Curry been on the game of basketball?
There have obviously been greater scorers, dominant big men, incredible athletes and players who defined their respective eras. But there aren't many players whose influence can be seen simply by walking into almost any gym in America.
Watch kids play basketball today.
They're pulling up from distances that would have gotten them immediately benched a generation ago.
That isn't an accident.
Curry didn't invent the three-pointer, but his combination of volume, range, efficiency and success helped demonstrate what an offense built around that weapon could become. His impact can be seen throughout modern basketball.
So while we're physically cutting pieces from a Curry shooting shirt, we're also talking about why memorabilia connected to a player like this matters in the first place.
We Even Put the Reclaim Crew to the Test
Of course, we couldn't make it through an entire Steph Curry project without making things a little ridiculous.
So production gets temporarily interrupted for another Reclaim Customs Pop Quiz.
Aaron and Fred get put on the spot with some Steph Curry trivia, with absolutely no time to study and nowhere to hide.
Our friend Al also stopped by the shop while we were working on the project and ended up helping us assemble some of the cards. If you've followed Reclaim for a while, you may have heard Al's name before. It gave us a chance to give him some well-deserved recognition while simultaneously putting him to work.
That's what friends are for.
The Finished Steph Curry 1/1s
Ultimately, though, this project is about the cards.
A game-worn piece of NBA history arrived at Reclaim Customs as a shooting shirt.
It left as a collection of individual artifacts, each built around an actual piece of material worn by Steph Curry during the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
That's the part of this process we never get tired of.
One artifact. A completely new presentation. And something that can never be recreated exactly the same way again.

y shooting shirt, the production process, the Pop Quiz, Al joining the crew and, most importantly, the finished one-of-one cards.
And after you watch it, we'd love to hear your answer to the question we kicked around while making them:
Where does Steph Curry rank among the most influential players ever to play basketball?
